Maintenance Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)

Position:
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our afternoon shift team. This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 per year.

Location:
Arndell Park, NSW

Shift Hours:
Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team during the afternoon shift, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate with production staff to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce overall maintenance costs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize production delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory levels.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in equipment maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory role within the food or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry is highly desirable.
  • Background in either electrical or mechanical maintenance, with strong knowledge of both disciplines preferred.
  • Relevant trade qualification as an electrician or fitter is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
