Job Description:

Our Family:

  • Family of mum, dad, 2.5 year old, 3 month old, German Shepherd, Chihuahua, and a Cockatiel. We work for ourselves and have an office at home. We are a busy on the go family always up to something mainly new adventures We are friendly, easy going and pretty flexible.

Your Duties:

  • The nanny will provide majority care for the 2.5 year old where the 3 month old would be 'passed back and forth' so to speak with mum (me). They will manage all aspects of care for the 2.5 year old i.e. feeding, changing/potty training, playing, planning fun activities, occasional bathing etc. For the 3 month old it'll be 50/50 care (mum will help) i.e. feeding, changing, playing, naps, occasional bathing etc. For the 3 month old if mum is to leave the house, the 3 month old will go with mum.

Light household duties include:

making meals/snacks for toddler, packing dishwasher, unpacking dishwasher, putting children clothes away (if any), tidy up of play room, tidy up of lounge room (mainly cleaning up behind the toddler after each activity).

Occasional vacuum of house anything to just 'help out'.

We don't expect a cleaner (we have one come fortnightly) or anything where attention is fully taken off the toddler.


In a nutshell duties and responsibilities include:

  • building a strong relationship with the children
  • organising and planning fun, creative and engaging activities (we have heaps of stuff but happy to give extra $$$ to buy more stuff)
  • meal preparation for the children (3 month old formula fed)
  • managing light household duties
  • ensuring a safe and hygienic environment
  • maintaining all aspects of the care routine for the children

Our Perfect Caregiver:

  • We are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, caring, loving, warm and thoughtful. The ideal nanny would be calm, affectionate and confident and can help with our children's development and provide age appropriate activities. They must possess strong experience working with children of similar age (2.5 year old and 3 month old) along with light (very light) household duties. Mum and dad would every so often like a night out (kid free) and would love when once BOTH kids are asleep to head out for a movie or dinner and have the nanny watch both kids sleep on the monitor (we are blessed and have kids who sleep through the night).
