About the Role:

We are looking for established Contract Administrators for a Commercial Builder in Melbourne. Join a leading, privately-owned construction company with over a century of delivering high-quality projects across diverse sectors. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that all agreements are executed smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor expenses to stay within financial limits.
  • Process and approve progress payments, invoices, and change orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contractual documents and correspondence.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to contracts and project execution.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Law, or a related field. (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, terms, and conditions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
