The Role:

Maxima, and the Barossa Village, are looking for a motivated individual to undertake an entry-level Horticulture Traineeship.

This role will see you working hands-on within the village assisting with all gardening, landscaping, and preventative maintenance tasks. Across 3-years gain practical experience and receive paid study time towards achieving a nationally recognised

Certificate III in Horticulture.

Duties Include:

  • Maintain community garden spaces
  • Assist with building and ground maintenance
  • Mulch, prune and water plants
  • Pest and weed control
  • Minor landscaping works
  • Lay and install irrigation pipes and watering systems

About You:

  • Great time management and organisation skills
  • Thrives working within team environments and independently
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable
  • Ability to problemsolve and take initiative
  • Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)

Role Requirements:

  • Current driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle
  • National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Physically fit and prepared to undertake manual tasks
  • Satisfactorily pass a preemployment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol test
