Role Overview:


The Sales Manager will lead and manage the sales activities of our Enclosures, Power Systems and Services businesses for one of our largest customers in the telecommunications sector.

Support, develop and expand EnerSys' relationships and channels to market to ensure continued improvement of sales volumes and product margins.

To educate and support the customers and channels thus ensuring EnerSys' solutions are adopted.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated customer/s, developing and maintaining a strong client relationship.
  • Representation of the EnerSys brand and products with all of our customers, internal and external
  • Understand your designated customer's business requirements, anticipate their needs, and provide tailored solutions to meet their goals and objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify opportunities for growth and revenue generation within your designated customer's account.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including product development, design teams, manufacturing and operations, to deliver comprehensive solutions and exceed customer expectations.
  • Actively monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the telecommunications industry and provide insights and recommendations to drive business success.
  • Continuously monitor and analyse key metrics related to sales performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies.
  • Effectively communicate and present sales updates, forecasts, and revenue projections to internal stakeholders and senior management.
  • Preparation of Response to tender documents
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the EnerSys capabilities and product sets as well as those of our market competitors
  • Other duties as required by the business
  • Work effective and cooperatively across all business units
  • Take ownership and accountability for sales budget and results
  • Demonstrated commitment to reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to prioritise work outcomes based on strategic importance, corporate timeframes etc

Educational/Vocational Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Formal qualifications, ideally postgraduate, in business, marketing, electrical engineering or similar fields
  • Demonstrated skills in account management and delivering results against budgets and timeframes
  • Ability to establish, develop and expand upon key relationships at all levels within the customer organisation
  • Good/Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Basic/Advanced skills in: Problem solving, Organisation, Communication & interpersonal skills, and Computer literacy
  • Microsoft Office / Windows environment
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with or without supervision
