Skillforce Recruitment are currently seeking a experienced Risk Analysis for a fixed term contract up to 6 months commencing in June 2024

Role Description


Scoping, preparing, and presenting a comprehensive overview of risks and potential treatments for further investment to mitigate growing cyber security risks and improve systemwide compliance.


  • Engaging and meeting with stakeholders and other relevant individuals for the preparation of the business case.
  • Preparing a financial analysis on the proposed treatments including ROI analysis in support of a future business case.
  • Provision of highlevel technical advice on planning and implementation guidance to senior and Executivelevel stakeholders.

Skills and Expereince

Strategic Thinking:

Ability to explore and evaluate different solutions and approaches to the problem to justify the chosen option; ensure that the proposed project aligns with the organisation's overall strategic goals.


  • Cyber Security Knowledge: Understanding current and emerging cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors; Familiarity with various cyber security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, multifactor authentication, etc.; Knowledge of relevant cyber security regulations and standards (e.g., Essential 8, NIST CSF).
  • Project Management Skills: Defining a clear project timeline, outlining key milestones, and estimating the duration of each phase; Identifying the necessary resources (human, financial, technological) and demonstrating how they will be allocated efficiently; Implementation Planning describing how the project will be executed, monitored, and controlled to ensure successful delivery.
  • Clear Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex cybersecurity concepts in clear and understandable terms for nontechnical stakeholders; Use of appropriate cyber security terminology and avoiding jargon that might confuse decisionmakers.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including negotiation, facilitation and liaison skills and the ability to gain cooperation amongst stakeholders with potentially competing interests.
  • High level conceptual, analytical, and problemsolving ability within a complex and evolving technology and business environment.
  • Understanding of contemporary risk management as it relates to Cyber Security in a large and complex organisation including:
  • Essential 8 Maturity
  • Risks related to SOCI (CIRMP) Compliance Reporting and upcoming changes.
  • Supply Chain Risks
  • Training and Awareness Risks
  • Insider Threat Risks
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Risks
  • Specific Technology Risks related to Operational Technology; Internet of Things; Health Technology Management Unit Assets; Human-Machine Interface; Edge Computing; End-User Computing.
