About the Role:


Due to the growth of our Day Options program, there are multiple casual roles available at our new Torrensville site.

Shifts for these roles vary from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3.30pm.

This is a fun and rewarding role, with a focus on supporting our clients to achieve their goals in a respectful and encouraging environment.


Activities our clients enjoy include dancing, pottery, cooking, arts and crafts, technology classes, and social outings, to name just a few.


Other responsibilities include:
- providing 1:1 or 1:3 support
- supporting clients to achieve their NDIS goals
- completing progress reports and reporting incidents
- working with clients to promote individual choice and control
- providing transport to clients as required
- maintaining a duty of care for clients, other staff, and yourself

About You:


You will be an experienced and qualified support worker with knowledge of the _NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct_ and _Quality and Safeguarding Framework_.

You will have a genuine passion for working with people with disability to achieve their goals, and if you have a hobby, skill, or talent, we would be keen for you to share that with our clients.


Other skills and qualifications include:
- a minimum Certificate III in Disability (or equivalent)
- a current First Aid and CPR certification
- a current Driver's Licence
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- an ability to 'do with, and not for'

For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment with Bedford Phoenix Incorporated:

  • an acceptable clearance to work in the disability sector (DHS / DCSI / NDIS)
- a National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- evidence of right to work in Australia
- evidence of full vaccination (x3) with a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine or an acceptable exemption
