What we are looking for:

As an Assets Technical Officer, you'll be integral to your Network Operations team, providing crucial internal and external operational reporting and technical support. Your responsibilities will include aiding in the asset management of water, sewer and waste as well as contributing to our renewal program. You will possess an understanding of how different components and processes interconnect and rely on each other, demonstrating a comprehensive grasp of process systems and their interdependencies.

What you should have to apply:

  • A qualification (AQF Level 4 or above) in a water related field or equivalent experience
  • Technical background preferably within the water/wastewater sector
  • Strong systems thinking abilities and identifying interdependencies
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Technical writing skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions effectively
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency
  • Outstanding work ethic with a "can do" attitude
  • Be willing and able to follow instructions, including complying with written procedures
  • Possess good interpersonal skills in order to provide excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team
  • Current drivers' licence

What's nice to have:

  • Plumbing Trade / Engineering qualification
  • Previous Local Government experience
  • Previously undertaking reporting to departments
  • Experience in asset management
