• $73,776 per annum plus Superannuation and applicable allowances
• Fortnightly RDO

We currently have an opening for a heavy stream Motor Mechanic to work in Hume City Councils Fleet services team. This position is part of an exciting dynamic team maintaining the fleet at the Maffra St. and Sunbury depots in the Hume City Council area. Council will supply you with all required tools, a uniform and a fortnightly RDO

What you'll be doing:

• Perform routine maintenance on a range of light, medium and heavy plant.
• Diagnosis and repair of breakdowns of all plant
• Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Preparation of pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
• Maintain workshop and tools/equipment required standards.
• Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner.
• Be a leader in health, safety, and environmental management.
• Complete required documentation.

The skills and experience you'll bring to the role:

• Competently interpret and follow policies, procedures, guidelines, workshop manuals and vehicle repair manuals.
• Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification.
• Proven ability to work as part of a dynamic team and as an individual.
• Diesel maintenance experience.
• Forklift license - LF (preferred) Victorian Heavy Rigid (HR) truck license (preferred).
