In Australia, we oversee the management of the esteemed Sunrise Dam Gold Mine and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% owned by AGA and 30% by Regis Resources). These mines are key players in Western Australia's gold sector, with continuous investment and exploration efforts in both open pit and underground operations.

We are currently searching for a Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join our Underground Mining team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this role is based on an 8/6 FIFO roster at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, with direct flights from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a safety leader in alignment with our values and protocols
  • Mentor and lead the production, planning, and scheduling engineers to ensure timely delivery of designs and mine schedules at a high standard
  • Monitor operational performance against mine plans
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to plan execution
  • Effectively communicate plans, schedules, and risks to operation stakeholders
  • Drive improvements throughout the underground operation
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience in underground mine planning and scheduling
  • Hands-on experience in underground mining
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of Deswik Software (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Must hold valid and ongoing work rights in Australia
