Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a HDR Liaison Officer to join Office of Research Services, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.

As HDR Liaison Officer in the Client Services Team, you are responsible for the delivery of a high level of consistent service provision to support Higher Degree by Research students and supervisors during the entire student lifecycle and ensuring continuous improvement of the student and client customer experience.

The Graduate Research Centre provides exceptional service and support to our Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students. Through the provision of tailored support services, the GRC puts the student at the centre of all that we do, striving to exceed the expectations of our HDR students and supervisors from admission through to graduation..

What you need to succeed

  1. Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  2. Demonstrated customer service experience and ability to provide informed and relevant advice.
  3. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to liaise professionally with a diverse range of people at all levels of an organisation.
  4. Demonstrated attention to detail and effective administrative skills, preferably with some experience working with postgraduate research student matters.
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage time and high volume tasks and to assist with meeting tight deadlines with competing priorities.
  6. Demonstrated digital literacy including the ability to successfully utilise word processing software, spreadsheets and large corporate databases such as TechnologyOne's Student Management Solution.
