Nifty Care Services is a Service provider providing care and support services to participants within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in their own homes.

Experience working with young people with autism will be highly regarded:

  • Experience working with non-verbal young people
  • Friendly, respectful, and willing to learn
  • An ability to build strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders is a must

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
  • Certificate 3 in Disability/Individual Support/Community or higher or 1year equivalent experience
  • NDIS Worker's Screening Check or willingness to apply
  • A motor vehicle driver's license and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Compliance with the Working with Children's Check
  • Proof of citizenship or working visa
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
  • Fully COVID19 vaccinated and have received the booster shot, if eligible, or signed current medical contraindication certificate from a medical practitioner.
  • A passion for working with people with a disability, with the ability to promote and foster their independence

Key Responsibilities & Duties for Disability Support Worker

  • Provide individualised support and some personal care to our client using a supportive and positive approach
  • Motivate and promote client independence
  • Assist the client with their emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs
  • Supervise client's participation during activities
  • Provide transport when required
