You will work closely with our Building Services Director, engaging in tasks like people management, project management, and providing guidance on the technical aspects of different tier 1 and tier 2 buildings projects.Our Property and Buildings team is made up of experts in the built environment, all sharing a passion to create sustainable, accessible, and resilient communities. Through strong partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration, we design places that bring social, environmental, and financial value to clients in our ever-evolving world.What you'll doAs part of a wider network of professional engineers involved in local and national projects, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Leading the technical design of electrical services for medium to large multi-disciplinary projects
  • Delivering optimal outcomes for clients, saving costs and time
  • Acting as a Project Lead and overseeing a team of Electrical Engineers and Drafters
  • Effective communication with all project teams and stakeholders
  • Being a supportive mentor for less experienced engineers
  • Establishing strong client relationships and identifying business growth opportunities (it would be great if you have this skill)
  • Representing and endorsing the business within local and regional markets
  • Contributing to the business unit's development aligned with strategic objectives
About you
  • Hold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Show expertise in designing electrical systems
  • Ability to coordinate and comprehend various building services disciplines such as Mechanical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design
  • Proven track record in the building services sector covering Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities
  • Familiarity with Australian building codes and standards, with local NT experience seen as a plus
  • Hold (or be eligible for) registration in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction sector
  • Demonstrate a history of adeptly managing conflicting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Skilled in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
  • Proficient in project and personnel management - training and guiding junior engineers, with strong communication skills at all levels
  • Understanding of project finance and commercial aspects is beneficial
