Role Description

Working as an Estimator in our established Sydney team, you will work closely with Directors and key stakeholders across our business on a range of projects in the transport and utilities space. You will be responsible for:

  1. Participating in scope of works planning, ensuring that scope gaps are minimised and cost efficiencies are maximised.
  2. Undertake Quantity take-off's, development of Bills of Quantity, Cost Estimation, Cost Control and management.
  3. Actively engage with construction suppliers and sub-contractors to gain market-based supplier and sub-contract prices for cost estimation purposes.
  4. Report on job progress and cost control to the Estimating Manager
  5. Check for authorization payments to subcontractors and suppliers
  6. Maintain strong relationships with current clients
  7. Assisting with the preparation of fee proposals and bids
Candidate Profile

To be successful, you'll need 5 - 7 years of demonstrated experience as an Estimator, ideally from a Construction/Contractor background. You will also need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • A willingness to work as part of a wider team, to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
