Who are we?

Macpac is New Zealand's original outdoor brand. Founded in Christchurch in 1973, we've made it our business to show people that life is better when you're outside. We're a socially conscious business, and we operate in a way that is both ethical and sustainable. As a leader in the outdoor retail space, we have a responsibility to protect and preserve our wild places, and we take that responsibility very seriously. To be successful in the role

This is a position in a high paced, high turnover environment. To be considered for this role you will ideally have;

Senior retail experience in a management position Proven ability to lead by example and give the best customer service An unmistakable talent and passion to provide a motivational, inspirational atmosphere for your team. Confidence to manage differing personalities in a team environment Strength in offering ongoing comprehensive training, as well as driving floor sales Experience in visual merchandising, stock control, health and safety, store security and basic financial reporting will be called upon regularly Experience with outdoor clothing and equipment is preferred but not essential... a passion for the outdoors or travel is preferable.
