The Education Manager


This position directly supports the Manager - Allied Health and peers in the Allied Health Business Area in managing and leading the implementation of Operational excellence, business growth and opportunities that enhance the Institute's reputation and meets industry and community needs in the course areas of Allied Health, Sport and Fitness.


Key Accountabilities include

  • Lead and manage teachers, including supervision, performance, professional and vocational currency and development requirements
  • Participate in the development and implementation of student retention strategies that will improve learning outcomes across the school
  • Improve the quality of teaching and learning by ensuring materials have a studentbased approach and adaptive curriculum to secure the best outcomes
  • Resolve learner complaints in accordance with Chisholm policy to minimise risk, dissatisfaction and issue escalation
  • Understand market and industry needs and develop responsive, innovative educational solutions for learners, including feeforservice clients
  • Contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of new courses in a defined area, education practices, materials, delivery models and standards to teach, engage and retain learners
  • Work with learners to improve their employability and life skills
  • Manage a budget including providing advice on costeffective delivery strategies
  • Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction of staff.

ABOUT YOU

You will have:

  • Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher (or ability to complete)
  • Vocational qualification/s in Allied Health, Sport or Fitness
  • Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
