Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate commercial roof installations
- Supervise and lead teams to meet quality and production goals
- Identifying problems and developing solutions in order to accomplish work in a timely manner
- Estimate and control labour projections, material storage, and material needs
- Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity throughout the installation process.
- Ensure that every member of the installation team receives the proper safety training and follows Standard Operating Procedures for Safety.
- Train and supervise direct employees, crews and subcontractors as needed
- Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of installation projects.
- Assures the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' relevant experience
- General knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the assembly, installation, or repair of roofing structures
- A stable track record in roof installation on industrial building projects
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, understands specifications
- Possess a wide range of carpentry skills to provide accurate remote job assessment
- A natural ability to drive the project forward all the while maintaining and developing relationships with subcontractors, consultants and clients alike.
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Current drivers' license & reliable transport
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
