Are you a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator with a background in civil construction? Urban Infrastructure is seeking a motivated professional to join our team. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in estimating and pricing projects across a diverse range, including Civil Construction and Carparks, Footpath and Road Reconstruction, Concreting, Kerb and Guttering Works, Streetscapes, Community Parks, Open Spaces, Hard and Soft Landscaping, as well as Earthworks.

Position Overview:
As a Civil Construction Estimator at Urban Infrastructure, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing competitive bids, and contributing to the success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive and competitive bids, considering all relevant factors and ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the project management and business development teams to understand project objectives, constraints, and client expectations.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bids, and relevant project documentation. Ensure all submissions are well-organized and meet deadlines.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to enhance the accuracy of cost estimates.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Civil Construction Estimator.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Location:
Urban Infrastructure Head Office, Emu Plains, NSW.
