Based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, the Senior Developer is responsible for delivering the technical solutions integrated into T&S (Trading and Supply) of the behind the meter energy solutions, including BESS and other flexible products. Working closely with the Shell Energy IDT Trading team based in Brisbane, the successful candidate will be the primary interface to enable delivery of the ESOL roadmap and integration with the Trading and Supply business. In fulfilling these requirements, the role will liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders including partners and service providers to ensure timely delivery of the project plan.

Lead the change, from the frontline

With honesty, integrity and respect, you will:

  • Work closely with the Project managers, Business Analysts, architecture teams, Spot Trading team and interface with ESOL project delivery
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders including ESOL, Software Vendors, Flex, T&S, SER & Shell Power Spot Trading team, Business Integrations and regulatory and compliance teams from planning phase to post go live.
  • Integrate vendor IT software products with Shell T&S internal platforms and bidding solutions to develop daily processes and ways of working.
  • Collate data as part of internal reviews and regulatory submissions.

What you'll bring

Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role:

  • IT background and implementation of the software development lifecycle. Specifically:
    • Proven programming skills in .NET and C#, with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) concepts.
    • Proficient in RESTful web services and familiar with Swagger schema.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL programming.
    • Experienced in cloud platform technologies, preferably Azure.
    • Well-versed in container technologies, such as Docker, with Kubernetes experience being a plus.
    • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) concepts, with experience in Terraform as a plus.
    • Familiarity with agile methodology and practical experience in CI/CD, preferably with GitHub Actions
  • Experience with stakeholder management with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A compliance mindset to work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant business as the top priority.
  • Influencing skills to meet business objectives and to ensure effective communication across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent.
