The Fleet Manager is a key player in enhancing the performance of our Fleet operations, supervising approximately 700 vehicles. Aligned with our Finance department, they are dedicated to boosting efficiency and reducing unnecessary costs within Operations and Fleet.

This role involves leading important strategic initiatives, refining operational processes, and supervising the Fleet Administrator's tasks. Additionally, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and obligations is a crucial aspect.

A glimpse into the daily responsibilities of a Fleet Manager...

  • Manage administrative procedures related to Aruma's vehicle fleet, such as vehicle sourcing, acquisition, and replacement processes.
  • Act as the custodian of fleet information, guaranteeing accuracy in financial and non-financial data, including Lease Accelerator.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with the Fleet Management Partner on both strategic and day-to-day levels.
  • Address senior queries in the fleet mailbox daily, with support from the Fleet Administrator.
  • Utilize reports to analyze current leases, providing recommendations for renewals or extensions based on financial impact.
  • Offer expertise and guidance on vehicle modifications, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, delivering monthly updates for employee FBT adjustments and ensuring precision in the annual FBT return.
  • Advocate for the Fleet SharePoint site and Power BI dashboard, ensuring the accuracy and validity of content.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to prepare, oversee, and track budgets pertaining to fleet operations.
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of strategic projects, including one utilizing insights software to streamline fleet size and enhance vehicle utilization significantly.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar fleet role, demonstrating expertise in change management in complex environments.
  • Highly organized with a focus on achieving results.
  • Proactive and independent in solving problems.
  • Customer-centric approach, skilled in handling spontaneous requests.
  • Effective communication skills with a good business sense for making financially sound recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with telematics and fleet insight software.
  • Keenness to learn and acquire new skills, nurturing a team culture of responsiveness and flexibility.
