Our multidisciplinary team covering the Illawarra region and beyond have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring clinician or dedicated Therapy Assistant looking for a permanent position.


About the role


This role entails providing case management support and delivering therapy programs to NDIS participants under the supervision of an allied health professional, ensuring participants can engage more fully in daily tasks.


On a daily basis you will be:

  • Supporting clinicians and participants by streamlining their referrals
  • Following up with stakeholders to obtain documentation required by the clinician such as standardised assessments, school visit forms, clinical reports
  • Delivering therapy programs to participants under the direction of an allied health professional
  • Being responsible for managing an allocated caseload and completing therapeutic processes in a timely manner
  • Evaluating results of therapy by observing, noting, and evaluating participants progress, and implementing recommended adjustments and modifications

About you

  • Experience delivering Therapy Assistant services preferred but not essential
  • Administration experience within a health and / or medical environment highly regarded
  • Experience working in the NDIS sector is desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite of programs
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Driver's licence and full access to a reliable vehicle

Qualifications

  • Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in occupational therapy or speech pathology, OR have completed a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance AND are midway through completion of a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
