Our purpose is to provide meaningful ongoing work for people with a disability while providing the necessary support they require to do so.

The Employment Development Officer (EDO) role requires an equal mix of hands-on training and support of supported employees and office administration.

When new supported employees come on board, you'll guide them through the application and onboarding phase.

The role also entails gathering the new supported employee's initial production competency levels to assist in wage assessments which are carried out after the first 12 weeks of employment.

Work competency training relevant to the wage assessment is delivered to the employee during this period.
Every employee's journey is unique, as are their goals and the challenges they may face.

The EDO also works with the Business Development Manager and Site Manager to attract and recruit suitable supported employees by engaging with special development schools and attending expos.

The EDO will also need to skill and educate the Packforce DSPs on their learning journey, with new clients' needs, changing client behaviour profiles, and onboarding and updating skill profiles.

Although you may not have specific experience in the disability field, on-the-job training will be provided.
However, you'll need transferrable skills, the right temperament, and a " can-do "attitude to be the right candidate.

To be successful, you will need:
A commitment to make a real difference in the lives of people with disability.
The ability to adapt to changing daily priorities.
The ability to adjust your language and listening skills to meet the specific needs of people with a disability.
Demonstrated experience working as an active team member.
The ability to problem-solve.
Experience training others.
The ability to keep your cool under pressure
Intermediate computer skills

Licenses/certificationsrequired or willingness to obtain before commencement:
NSW Driver's License (minimum P2)
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before commencement in the role)
Current WWCC (or willingness to obtain before commencement in the role).
Police Check
Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencement in the role).
