ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care. About the Role
You will be responsible for delivery of primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures. You will form part of a multidisciplinary team working toward the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members. You will play an integral role in assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and in the provision of care that will support the health and welling of members pre and post deployments. You will be required to provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units. You will be supported by a Team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues. You may be required to provide the services in either an outpatient setting or inpatient care setting within a ward.
We are looking for Doctors to support our team with part time employment including weekends and evening shifts to suit your schedule. Working with defence is a totally unique experience, you are given the opportunity to provide quality care and make a difference.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.

• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR, Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.

• Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent) as determined by RACGP and ACRRM.

• Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.

• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
About Wagga & Kapooka Health Centre
The Wagga Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Wagga at Forest Hill, South East of Wagga Wagga. This facility provides general medical care, as well as dental, physiotherapy, and pharmaceutical services. Standard operating hours of the Centre are Monday-Friday.
