About the position

We are seeking three motivated and experienced Dental Laboratory Technicians to work at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. As a Technician, you will specialize in your area of interest and provide support to students from Melbourne Dental School and RMIT when needed.

We are specifically looking for a Dental Technician skilled in:

Fixed prosthesis/Crown & Bridge/Implant Technician:

(Experience with 3D printers is a plus)

These roles are suitable for Dental Technicians with at least 5 years of experience.

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Certification as a Dental Technician
• Thorough knowledge of dental prostheses and related technologies
• Experience in building, replacing, and repairing dental devices
• Familiarity with dental laboratory CAM software such as 3 Shape and Emax/Zirconia milling technology

Main Responsibilities:

• Build-up and finish various products in the Fixed Pros Crown & Bridge/Implant Department
• Provide technical consultation on dental appliances
• Fabricate a range of dental products such as metal, ceramic, PFM, Emax, and zirconia crown & bridges
• Work on veneers and casting post & core
• Stain, glaze, and layer crown & bridges
• Undertake Implant Crown & Bridge work
• Ensure quality work and meet deadlines efficiently
• Collaborate effectively with the team and contribute to team objectives
• Stay motivated, positive, and demonstrate a willingness to learn
• Uphold strict confidentiality and integrity within DHSV
