Crew Tech Lead (Executive Manager), Messaging

About the business
This role sits within Integrated Channels in Retail Technology.

Integrated Channels provides end-to-end technology for our customer facing channels: Customer Service Network (Branch), Contact Centres, Collections, Retail Marketing and Regulatory Compliance.

We support over 10,000 front-line employees as they provide state-of-the-art service to the Bank's customers using critical services such as ATMs, Branch Technology, Contact Centre Technology, Sales systems, as well as Customer Feedback technology and Digital Marketing Capabilities.


About the role


As a Crew Tech Lead for our Messaging crew, you will lead the end-to-end ownership defining the crew's technology roadmap, managing the core technology assets, unlock and facilitate delivery through effective conflict management, risk & financial management as well as determine optimal tech capability mix across Crews.

You will provide expert, strategic technology leadership to the crew.

About the crew


The Messaging Technology crew will support the messaging channel to make it the preferred method of communicating and enable front line to identify and resolve customer needs through it.


The crew will help deliver exceptional customer experience, promote self-service, messaging channel excellence and effective issue resolutions, increase business & channel resilience and manage change effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Define and agree technology components of Crew Memo and partner with Crew Lead at QBR.
  • Performance and availability of Crew Technology (prod & preprod).
  • Bridge the gap between business strategy and technical solutions within Crew.
  • Drive a Tech culture of continuous improvement based on data
  • Participate in planning, definition and highlevel design of solutions; assist squads to identify the right technologies and ensure sound architectural decisions
  • Work with Chapter leads on defining and forecasting Crew tech capability requirements.
  • Support implementation of practices, tooling and training provided in the Crew eg. Architecture, engineering governance and controls.
  • Drive good design, refactoring and technical debt elimination ensure technical debt and associated impacts are visible to Crew and work with POs to reduce it over time.
  • Accountable for development, performance management and career progression of a number of Technology roles.
