We are looking for a teacher of Junior Science Math and General Math in the senior years. The ability to teach RE is advantageous but not necessary. This position has arisen due to the promotion of a teacher to Acting AP. It is a full-time, fixed term position for 2023.

About you -To be successful in this role you will:

  • Need relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in science, and Math to all year levels;
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum Commitment to child safety Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven organisational skills;
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes; and
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice, and engagement.

  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Do I have to be Catholic?
All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Our teachers who teach Religious Education are required to be Catholic and attain Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school.

If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
