Zenviron is a joint venture between Monadelphous and ZEM Energy and is a market leading engineering, procurement and construction services contractor, specialising in the design and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects in Australia.
Following the continued growth and success of the business, we have a permanent position available for an experiencedSenior Electrical Engineer
to join the Zenviron engineering team based in the Newcastle Office.
Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing quality, safe, and commercially effective engineering designs for project delivery.
If you are an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer skilled inhigh voltage substation protection system design , who wants to be a part of key growth across the renewables sector, come and join the inclusive and high performing Zenviron team
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the engineering delivery of protection and secondary systems within Zenviron, including the development, and ongoing refinement of protection/secondary design guidelines and approachesUnderstanding your WHS responsibilities and actively promoting and supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and othersProviding technical leadership and support to other members of the Engineering team and project teamsEnsuring all designs/documentation meet the relevant standards AS/IECCo-ordinating with suppliers and subcontractors as necessaryProviding engineering support to project electrical works including engineering investigations, site inspections, solving problems and making recommendationsWhat we are looking for:Australian recognised Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia (or be eligible to obtain)Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status, and other state-based registrations where relevant (highly regarded)Proven experience in electrical infrastructure engineering design for HV substation or renewable energy projects, with a focus on protection system design (highly regarded)Understanding of grid connection requirements for large generation projectsStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent communication (written and verbal) skillsProof of right to work in AustraliaTo be successful in this role you will require well-developed interpersonal skills to assist you in building effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally, whilst you will demonstrate a team orientated approach to work and commitment to continuous improvement.
