The Opportunity

As as member of the ANZ Medical Affairs team, The Medical Review Specialist (MRS) will work with the Medical Affairs team to ensure that Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, successfully supports and leads the market. The individual will conduct high-quality review of all Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, promotional and non-promotional materials and activities according to internal SOPs, relevant Australian and New Zealand Industry Codes of Conduct and external laws and regulations. The individual will also provide training, support and advice to internal customers on medical review processes, codes of practice and regulations.

The primary responsibilities in supporting Allergan Therapeutic Area (TA):

Support medical review aspects of Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company materials. This requires a close working relationship with key internal stakeholders such as sales, marketing and medical education, as well as other stakeholders

Here's a snap shot of things you'll be doing

  • Support the development and review of internal and external, promotional and non-promotional Materials, in collaboration with the Commercial teams and Medical colleagues, by all relevant regulations, industry codes of practice, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence of all activities to company and regulatory requirements as well as Australian and New Zealand industry laws and Codes of practices.
  • Collaborate with Commercial and Medical teams for concept campaigns and materials to ensure compliant materials, before Veeva system review.
  • Build rapport with teams, sustain agility with material reviews, and provide innovative and compliant guidance and solutions.
  • Provide timely support to Commercial colleagues and external agencies regarding Veeva/material review troubleshooting and answer queries relating to Code of Conduct/compliance requirements, material readiness or review guidelines
  • Engage with relevant ANZ departments and International/Corporate colleagues for compliant, efficient and effective reviews of local materials.
  • Provide training and guidance on industry/association guidelines and Codesof practice to Commercial and Medical teams.
  • Support Commercial Teams by developing and leading training for material review processes and efficient use of Veeva.
  • Participate in and drive cross-functional approach to projects, process andproduct issues for materials and activities, including digital, multichannel, and on-demand.
  • Develop and maintain resources for cross-functional colleagues,
  • Participate in and complete regular audits for promotional materials (internal and external)
  • Support cross-functional teams in preparing for upcoming product launches and events, including third-party conferences.
  • Conference attendance to support Commercial team activities and ensure compliance of on-demand materials.
  • Assist in new starter onboarding and user account management process for Veeva.
  • Continuing aesthetics products, Codes, and additional relevant training and education.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

Qualifications

  • Prior pharmaceutical experience is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities

  • We'd love you to have some post-qualification work experience; experience working in pharmaceutical or medical-related industry, overseas education or work experience desirable
  • Experience working in a medical affairs team in the medical device or pharmaceutical science industry
  • Ability to quickly learn and communicate information
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix structure, supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with Veeva Vault Promomats is highly desirable

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of the relevant Industry Codes of Conduct relating to review of promotional materials and activities.
  • Critical and thorough appraisal of scientific literature, including ability to search and find relevant scientific data.
  • Demonstrated ability for both problem-solving and consolidation of medical facts and clinical data.
  • Ability to effectively communicate medical and scientific information to audiences with varying medical/scientific understanding.
  • Project management and ability to lead an internal project team.
  • Coaching skills.
