Senior C++ Engineer Remote upto $200,000 + Super

Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology)

Join us to develop systems for trading cryptocurrencies in a dynamic digital asset environment. You'll collaborate with our seasoned trading team to create and support systems executing millions of trades on crypto exchanges globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • C++ Development: Create applications connecting to cryptocurrency exchanges and protocols, providing normalized access for automated trading systems.
  • Domain Expertise: Specialize in 2-3 exchange systems or cryptocurrency protocols, enhancing trading performance and suggesting improvements to exchanges.
  • Connectivity Solutions: Deploy, monitor, and manage exchange connectivity solutions, and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Optimization: Optimize applications for microsecond latencies and efficient messaging bandwidth usage.
  • Middleware Engineering: Improve reliability, scalability, throughput, and latency of internally developed middleware and messaging protocols.
  • Collaboration: Work with traders and strategy developers to analyze logs and build tools for execution performance analysis.
  • Python Development: Develop additional trading system infrastructure in Python as necessary.
  • Automation Tools: Create tools for automating the configuration, deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of trading system components.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and daily team interactions.

Skills and Experience

  • C++ Proficiency: Over 3 years of experience writing clean, maintainable, and high-performance C++ code on Linux.
  • Profiling Tools: Experience using tools like cachegrind, valgrind, or similar for profiling C++ code.
  • Network Programming: Strong understanding of UDP, TCP, TLS, and Websockets.
  • Websocket Execution: Bonus points for experience developing websocket execution for top cryptocurrency exchanges and articulating the associated challenges.
  • Reliable Coding: Ability to balance delivering clean, testable, reliable code with rapidly deploying new features to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • On-Call Support: Commitment to supporting the systems you develop.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High-Transaction Systems: Experience with high-transaction, latency-optimized, distributed systems.
  • Linux Configuration: Proficiency in configuring and monitoring Linux machines.
  • Inter-Process Messaging: Familiarity with shared memory for inter-process messaging.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with AWS or similar cloud computing infrastructure.
  • Market Connectivity Software: Background in developing high-performance exchange connectivity software for market making in traditional markets.
