Build Run Repair, a division of the wider Visy Group, provides Technical Advisory, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management services for the Pulp & Paper, Packaging, Recycling and Waste to Energy sectors.


As we continue to innovate and expand our operations in Glass manufacturing, we are seeking a diligent and proactive individual to play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our upcoming project based at Yatala (QLD).


This would be a 5-day on-site role with an early start-time (latest 7AM in the morning) and is on a 2-year fixed term contract.


The Role:


Reporting to the HSE Manager - BRR, you will support the operational delivery of the Health and Safety division for the Yatala Glass Project to ensure all records are in compliance that spans to cross-functional teams and divisions.


As the HSE Administrator, you will provide administrative assistance to the HSE team, including documentation, report preparation, data entry, maintaining records and support the coordination of HSE training programs, schedules, and materials for project staff, promoting a culture of safety awareness.


Other key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Administer Subcontract functions under the direction of Project Management / HSE Manager.
  • Coordinate and work closely with all key project disciplines (i

e:
Construction, HSE, Finance) to ensure continuity in the subcontracting process to achieve project goals.

  • Administration support for HSE team (meeting minutes, schedules, registers etc.)
  • Lead the identification and prequalification of potential/ new subcontractors to ensure documentation and onboarding and induction processes are implemented within Pegasus.
  • Continually manage HSE documentation & records both digitally and manual filing
  • Support the Quality system on site and ensure all audits and processes are completed.
  • Schedule and manage planned project HSE meetings, inspections and the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes and reports.
  • Administer the project team training matrix to ensure required training is planned, attendees invited, attendance is recorded and reporting on progress is delivered to management.
  • Enforce Permit to Work processes and procedures
  • Ensures that all Corrective Action Requests raised on his site are addressed in a timely manner
  • Liaison with contractor site representatives to maintain open communication and a high standard of HSE requirements on the project

What you will bring to the team:

  • Solid experience in administrative roles ideally in a Heavy Industry / Construction environment.
  • Ability to organize documentation, reports, data base information
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong problemsolving skills with a gogetter attitude
  • Strong and flexible interpersonal communication skills
  • Good planning, organizational and presentation skills
  • Practical knowledge & experience in construction environment highly regarded
  • HSE certifications (desired not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with safe systems of work and PermittoWork systems
