Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus, according to property recipes and standards
  • Ensure that mis-en-place is completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve menus and processes
  • Monitor stock and kitchen supplies
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and Food & Beverage service teams

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, within high-end dining operations
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a diverse team
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery Level 3 or above or equivalent
  • French training and fine dining experience are an asset
  • Proven experience in leading, training and developing teams. Hotel experience is an asset
  • A true love and passion for food and creating genuine memorable guest experiences
  • Full Australian working rights
