headspace Parramatta is part of the headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program, offering easily accessible early intervention services for young individuals seeking support for mental health challenges. The Early Psychosis program focuses on providing specialized services to aid young people at risk of or experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

Role Overview:

The Continuing Care Team (CCT) Clinician position plays a crucial role within headspace Early Psychosis and involves a multidisciplinary approach.

The primary goals of the CCT clinician role include:


• Minimizing the duration of untreated psychosis to lessen its impact on young individuals' normal development

• Alleviating the distress experienced by young individuals and their families due to early psychosis

• Facilitating both symptomatic and functional recovery post a first episode of psychosis

Essential Criteria
Qualifications

Valid tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy with AHPRA membership;
or qualifications as Psychologist with AHPRA membership or provisional membership
or eligibility for Social Worker registration with AASW or as a Registered Nurse

Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of one year of post-registration clinical experience in mental health, preferably in early psychosis
  • Proven track record in clinical practice and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for young individuals
  • Ability to collaboratively develop personalized psychosocial interventions for young people with psychosis
  • Proficiency in providing quality assessment and evidence-based psychological interventions with a focus on recovery
  • Thorough understanding of early psychosis principles and their impact on young individuals' development
  • Hold a valid NSW Driver's License
