We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

The role will be based in the Electrical Engineering Division which is responsible for the electrical and machine safety needs of all the company's facilities and infrastructure.

Based in Yatala, but travel will be required from time to time.

You will be experienced, reliable and able to provide efficient day-to-day electrical and machine safety support to the team. Working in a dynamic environment, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

ABOUT YOU

• A current Electrical Licence recognised by the QLD Electrical Licensing Board
• Hazardous Area Certification highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
• Open C Class Driver's License
• Current CPR/LVR
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• A hunger for knowledge and willingness to upskill.
• Instrumentation experience advantageous but not essential
• Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders
• Commit to JJR Engineering values and be willing to embrace workplace diversity
• Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance
• Well-developed people and relationship skills

• Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential service industry
• Subject to pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing

REQUIREMENTS

• Industrial control systems experience
• Knowledge of PLC & VSD systems; programming experience, advantageous but not essential
• Machine safety systems
• General machine electrical repairs and maintenance
• Control system builds include switchboard manufacturing.
• R&M of commercial installations and industrial systems
• Working with sub-contractors
• Interstate works required time to time but very limited.
