About the role

A newly created role reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the planning of operations and materials to ensure jobs are scheduled to agreed timelines, budgets, and quality.

Forecasting in collaboration with sales while developing and maintaining external and internal communication, ensuring a seamless flow of process, material, and information.


Duties

  • Scheduling production and workflow from one week out to three weeks
  • Analyse production sequences, factory capacity, lead times to ensure optimal production
  • Forecasting long and short term to ensure production have accurate plans and raw material availability
  • Identify root causes and take corrective action for any major deviations that may impact DIFOTQ
  • Collaborate with the wider team to determine status of projects and inform internal and external stakeholders of any changes
  • Coordinate cross functional research to reconcile variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Prepare and present reports

Skills & experience

  • Previous experience in a Production Planning / Coordination type role in a manufacturing / fabrication environment
  • Forecasting or demand planning experience
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with exposure to ERP systems
  • Ability to effectively manage competing demands and prioritising tasks
  • A desire to add value and be part of a small high performing close knit team
