Equity & Stock Loan Settlements - 6 Month Contract

Sydney- Wealth Management- Contract or TemporaryThe Settlements Administrator role is focused on all domestic and international equities settlements, transfers and enquiries relating to this area.
The key responsibilities of the Equity Settlements Administrator include, but are not limited to:- Responsible for reconciling trades against CHESS Settlement Obligations and ensuring stock is retrieved and delivered for settlement;
- Liaise with client brokers to source stock for timely settlement;
- Daily followup of outstanding trades and requests;
- Notifying Stock Lending of outstanding stock and booking borrowed stock into the system;
- Review short positions to avoid CHESS fail fees;
- Liaise with stock lending desk to arrange stock borrow for failing trades;
- Liaise with Cash department to arrange late/early settlement;
- Reconcile Start and EndofDay Stock position;
- Ensuring bought stock is correctly registered, and partially allocating stock that has been partially paid for;
- Liaise with external brokers for transfer requests and settlement queries;
- Review system generated reports;
- Assist client CHESS transfer queries;
- Assist Deceased Estates / Change Trustee queries;
- Reconciling client holdings;
- Facilitate International Stock settlement;
- Deliver quality service to both internal and external clients ensuring all internal controls and procedures are complied with at all times.
The Settlements Administrator will ideally have:
- An in-depth understanding of the Clearing, Settlements and Custody Cycle;
- Data entry experience;
- Settlements experience gained through equity settlements or stock lending exposure at a securities organisation or investment bank;
- Knowledge of CHESS and ASX business rules;
- Exposure to GBST Shares, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Experience in SUMMIT would be held in high regard.
