About the role:

The Hills Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Group Support Officer to join our dynamic team.

This role will involve collaborating closely with the Manager of Forward Planning and the broader Forward Planning Team to provide timely, efficient administrative and related support services.


Duties include:

  • Provide administrative services to the Manager and Team, including documentation management on matters generated by the Team
  • Organise meetings / events, electronic equipment, catering and take minutes
  • Assist with maintenance of standard operating procedures, processes and advanced notices (report schedules)
  • Administrative support to Council's Infrastructure Advisory Group (scheduling, business paper compilation and minutes)
  • Liaise with IT Support and Office Supplies providers to ensure resources are available for operational needs

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with customer enquiries in an efficient & courteous manner
  • High level interpersonal, organisational, verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Packages (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams) and Zoom
  • High attention to detail
  • Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or other equivalent qualifications
