Who are we? Code Camp is Australia's leading specialist school holiday and after-school provider We've taught over 90,000 kids in the past 8 years, and employ 1000 casual staff to help us.

Our staff work hard and love the collaborative effort of creating unique and engaging learning experiences for kids. We are looking for fun and energetic casual staff to assist at our after-school classes for
Term 2. Note that there are other locations and days available in your locality as well.

Are you?

  • Bright, bubbly and great at communicating with young kids (K2)
  • Keen to learn about new technology and passionate about mentoring kids, building their knowledge and confidence
  • Able to engage with kids, motivate and manage them within a classroom environment
  • Trustworthy, Independent, punctual and reliable
  • Available during afterschool hours
  • Willing to travel to class location (on school grounds)

Required Skills:

Whilst we don't require a specific degree or experience, interest in technology and experience with kids is a must, and you should have some of the following experience (or similar):

  • RRHAN required
  • Experience or enjoy working with young kids and have a vibrant and enthusiastic cando attitude
  • Mature outlook, common sense and ability to identify and take action to manage risk and ensure active supervision of children inside and outside the classroom
  • Ability to take initiative and facilitate unsupervised activities to meet the needs and interests of young children aged 7 years old
  • Fluent conversational English
  • Working With Childrens Check or willingness to obtain it immediately
  • First aid certificate is desirable

About the position:

  • Deliver our lesson plan to a class of 1220 students (alongside a second teacher if a larger class)
  • Responsible for keeping the class on track
  • Engaging with the students in a fun and safe way inside and outside the classroom
  • Ensuring the classroom is a fun environment for the students
  • Keeping in contact with Head Office if you have any questions or concerns
  • Attend staff training online
