Job Summary:

As General Services Supervisor, you will be assigned to a field construction organization in a supervisory capacity within an EPCM team, responsible for supervising and directing operations.

You will ensure assigned construction operations and works contractors performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets, and perform general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for field construction operations within assigned discipline or area.
  • Determines workforce requirements, schedule work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by works contractors.
  • Ensures the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Approves works contractor time records using established automated tools.
  • Prepares reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.
  • Other responsibilities as designated.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Experience working with, supervising and administering works contractors in an EPCM environment.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
  • Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities with demonstrated leadership in a team environment.
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
  • Knowledge of the use of contracts, and the works contractor's responsibilities contained in contract documents.
