Pallet Runner / Retail Assistant is responsible for the following:


  • Customer Service
  • Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting, acknowledging and actively engaging every customer
  • Maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
  • Meet and exceed every customer's expectation for their shopping experience
  • Strive to build loyalty & longterm relationships with customers
  • Answer face to face customer enquiries.
  • Communicate and report customer requests and complaints to senior management.

Warehouse Operations

  • Distribute pallets around warehouse and shop via pallet jack
  • Stack and unstack pallets by hand
  • Refill and organise stock in fridge and freezer
  • Maintain orderly appearance and cleanliness of warehouse and stock.
  • Maintain outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other aspects of customer service
and warehouse operations

  • Maintain an awareness of promotions and specials.

Registers

  • Provide backup assistance where required:
  • Correctly and efficiently process merchandise through the register system.
  • Accurate and efficient operation of the POS register system, including cash.
  • Adhere to, and maintain, security procedures and cash handling procedures, at all times.
  • Maintain orderly appearance of register area.
  • Actively seek an awareness of promotions and specials.

Merchandising

  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge of all products and their location in store.
  • Merchandise and maintain floor stock levels, including stock rotation.
  • Ensure all stock is rotated by date

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Warehousing & Retail is preferred
  • Previous experience with use of a pallet jack is preferred
  • Forklift License would be an advantage

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
