Our Journey

More than 500 of us work in our Pharmacy Team, providing Clinical, Operational and Quality pharmacy services to patients in our hospitals and community settings. We are a diverse group of professionals, focused on achieving the best outcomes and experiences for our community.

We're seeking motivated Pharmacists to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work in a range of different areas to develop and apply your clinical and operational knowledge and skills. Working in Victoria's largest Hospital Pharmacy Department, you can enhance your knowledge through a broad range of rotations designed to give you experiences and exposure to a variety of specialist practice areas and locations across including the Victorian Heart Hospital. Our team of pharmacy clinical educators will support you to develop your clinical pharmacy skills through individualised training tailored to your needs.

A Day in the Life

In these roles, our Grade 1 Pharmacists will:

  • Provide best practice pharmacy services and exceptional patient-centred care by ensuring medication safety and optimising medication management to achieve the best outcomes for our patients
  • Provide pharmacy services as part of pharmacy and interprofessional teams in a range of pharmacy practice settings and Monash Health sites through operational and clinical pharmacy rotations

Pharmacists work an 8-hour shift per day between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, plus some rostered overtime including weekends and public holidays. For part time roles, we require a minimum commitment of at least 2 weekdays per week, plus some rostered overtime including weekends and public holidays.

You are a hospital Pharmacist, enthusiastic to develop your clinical and/or operational pharmacy skills and ready to take the next step in your career. You are a role model, thrive working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering best practice pharmacy services to all patients, carers and health care professionals.
