You will collaboratively work with buying and other business units to ensure that the commercial plans of the business, as represented in range architecture, commercial activities, demand forecasts and strategic initiatives, are optimised to achieve profitability and growthWhat you'll be doing
- Analyse performance weekly and other relevant intervals and publish reports and KPIs
- Set formal range review schedule and ensure adherence
- Measure forecast accuracy and deploy measures to aid improvement
- Alignment of commercial plans and initiatives with forward sales plans
- Prepare and manage sales budgets, stock levels, OTB and gross profit in line with targeted KPI's down to subclass level
- Manage markdowns with the view to achieving objectives in terms of sales, stock levels, and gross profit
- Create and distribute weekly performance reports to nominated stakeholders
- Analysis of product range performance against budget and prior year to identify trends
- Work with the buyers to develop life cycle plans for the range
- Track progress of new product into the business and ensure store allocations are completed
- Work with supply planner to ensure forward supply and cash plans are generated
- Generate reports to assist with store inventory controls
- Ensure status changes on products are made as required and regularly audit statuses and other product identifiers
- Communicate changes to the demand plan to all relevant stakeholders to ensure that they can be included into other business plans
- Minimum of 5 years' experience
- Demonstrated understating and knowledge of bulky goods retailing.
- Ability to harness expertise in different functional areas
- Provide leadership and decisionmaking in a key business area
- Understanding of and experience with complex supply chains
- Highly developed analytical and numerical skills
- Welldeveloped problemsolving skills
- Possess strong commercial and business acumen.
- Ability to understand market information, consumer trend data and product performance information
- Understanding of performance measures in Buying, Planning and Sourcing
- The ability to drive sustained change within the both the direct team and the organisation
- High competency in MS Office Suite
- Expert in Excel
