The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a proactive, creative and highly organised communications professional to join our global Internal Communications team, based in either Sydney or Melbourne on a full time, 24-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is suitable for someone progressing their career from Coordinator or currently at Executive/Adviser level, who wants to be more involved in driving the communication strategy for Ashurst's global transformation and change initiatives.

Reporting to the Communications Manager in London, this role will work autonomously, but in collaboration with the Internal Communications and Change & Business Improvement Teams, to ensure projects/initiatives are delivered seamlessly, and our people have a positive experience when change is delivered.

Working with the firm's Change & Business Improvement team you will be responsible for crafting and delivering messages that inform, engage, and inspire staff and stakeholders.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in communications, with a proven track record in change communication strategies.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in change management and an understanding of project management principles is preferred.
  • Experience with managing, recording and editing podcasts, preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with IT / Operations to deliver change, preferred but not essential.
  • Evidence of the ability to build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders.
