About the Company

Every day, our people help build a sustainable and healthy South Australia through reliable and trusted water services. With a commitment to zero net emissions by 2030, we are guided by environmental goals and practices as we transform the supply of water and enhance the role of water utilities in today's community. About the Role:

We welcome individuals from any background who are enthusiastic, open-minded, proactive and ready to give it their all. Based at Murray Bridge with extra opportunities to work in areas like Lower Murray, Port Elliot, and the south-east region, we need someone willing to work away when required. A living-away allowance is provided.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Offer technical expertise for complex network issues, ensuring efficient business support
  • Investigate and diagnose wastewater network faults, providing optimal resolution recommendations
  • Conduct specialised trenchless pipe repairs, prioritise safety in hydro-excavation, and ensure maintenance of Jet Vac Combo Truck to minimise downtime
  • Directly engage customers, communicating service interruptions, timeframes, and rectification progress
  • Offer technical expertise on sewer infrastructure to internal stakeholders for informed decision-making and preventing repeat wastewater network faults
  • Implement cutting-edge wastewater solutions for safe, timely, and cost-effective network repairs
  • Contribute technical feedback for the review and improvement of Wastewater Standards in network operations and maintenance
  • Train and mentor on sewer operations, emphasising best practices, safety, and environmental considerations
  • Train and mentor staff on sewer operations, focusing on best practices, safety, environmental considerations, equipment procurement, and wastewater network operations

Skills Knowledge and Experience:

  • Technical understanding of Wastewater Networks
  • Sound knowledge of Jet/Vac Operations
  • Effective communication skills and capable writing of reports
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR)
  • Confined Space Entry certificate
  • Ability to read wastewater maps and interpret 'as-constructed' drawings
  • Knowledge and experience in trenchless pipe repair (highly desirable)
  • Able to communicate professional and technical advice across varying business units (highly desirable)
