Our flagship café, The Plant Room, offers meaningful supported employment opportunities in an environment that focuses on inclusion, independence, dignity, and respect.

We are now expanding our café operations to a new and exciting location in Dapto.


The Café Coordinator plays an instrumental part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of both sites and joins our team full-time, working Tuesday to Saturday.

You enjoy a busy and varied workday, juggling both café locations with responsibilities that include:

  • Setting the standard for an exceptional customer experience
  • Stock management and product quality
  • Preparation and presentation of basic menu items
  • Service of quality espresso coffee
  • Ensuring a high standard of venue presentation, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety regulations.
  • Reporting and correcting safety and maintenance issues.


Beyond this, you provide quality supervision, training, and guidance to a team of Café staff, ensuring allocated tasks align with individual abilities, needs, and employment goals.


About you:

  • Our Café Coordinator brings with them ambition, passion, and creativity, along with:
  • Minimum 2 years previous café supervisory experience
  • Nationally Recognised Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certification
  • Awareness of disability issues
  • Proven success working within budgets and to sales targets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, their families, community agencies and other professionals.
  • Commitment to delivering high level customer service.
  • Cleared Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, and current Driver Licence
  • Evidence of at least two (2) doses of a COVID19 vaccination
