Project Overview:

Pluto Train 2 involves expanding a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia, operated by Woodside Energy.

Pluto Train 2 aims to process Scarborough gas and achieve an LNG capacity of approximately 5 million tonnes per annum. Alongside constructing Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be implemented to raise capacity to around 225 Terajoules per day.

Bechtel has been chosen by Woodside Energy to execute the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning tasks for Pluto Train 2.

Woodside Energy stands as the primary natural gas producer in Australia, and Bechtel is thrilled to collaborate with this vital client in meeting the growing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Job Summary:

The Area Admin Assistant post involves offering general administrative assistance to a specific area. You will hold regular meetings with managers to stay updated on critical issues and coordinate tasks effectively.

This position is on a FIFO basis with a 3:1 schedule, located in Karratha, WA.

Main Duties:

• Manage travel arrangements, including domestic and international trips, and prepare detailed itineraries when required. Aid team members in preparing expense reports via Concur.
• Independently organize and reschedule appointments based on managers' commitments and priorities, providing sufficient details for each item.
• Arrange the office for meetings, training sessions, or staff events.
• Develop and arrange presentations or necessary materials for meetings.
• Coordinate special activities and programs with manager approval and input.
• Handle department meeting and catering requests as per site guidelines
• Other tasks delegated by the Area Manager.

Educational Background and Experience:

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiarity with Concur
• Understanding of Aconex or electronic document management systems
• Prior experience at Bechtel in a similar role is preferred.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities; keen attention to detail
• Experience in interacting with executive management and clients
• Capacity to handle highly confidential information
• Ability to work independently

Additional Details:

This role involves exposure to varying environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive movement in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from platforms like scaffolding, mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), utilization of personal fall arrest equipment, working on uneven surfaces, functioning in constricted and/or confined spaces, flexible work schedules (e.g., daytime, nighttime, weekends, different shifts), and working in challenging weather conditions. Some lifting may be involved. Candidates must utilize standard Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) provided for each assigned task (e.g., respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is classified as a Major Hazard Facility, hence it is a non-smoking zone where no tobacco products - for instance, cigarettes, vapes, lighters, or tobacco - are permitted on-site.
