About the Role:


This full time, permanent role is located at our Brooklyn Park site working in a food production and contract kitchen environment.

Working with other dedicated chefs you will have an opportunity to shape the future of young apprentices' lives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in cooking large scale bulk production through to fresh/frozen readymade meals
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining standards in line with HACCP, Food Act 2001 (SA) and Food Industry Standards
  • Assist in stock and labour requirements
  • Supervise, mentor and train kitchen staff
  • Attend and participate in management meetings
  • Maintain a high level of work health and safety knowledge
  • Engage and promote development and teamwork

About You:


You will be experienced in food production and take pride in your work and are looking to give back to the community.

You are keen to assist the manager in all areas of kitchen operation, from mentoring and supervising kitchen staff to managing cost, ordering stock, rostering staff, and preparing meals.


Other skills and qualities:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead
  • Experienced in high volume food preparation is highly desirable
  • Understanding of HACCP, Food Act 2001 (SA), Food Industry Standards
For this role the following documents must be provided prior to a formal offer of employment being made;

  • A National Police Clearance (no older than six months)
  • Working with Children Clearance
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • Evidence of FULL vaccination with a TGAapproved COVID19 vaccine or an acceptable exemption
