Position Description
Seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian to join a well-established and growing private practice based in Sydney.


The role involves the delivery of outpatient consultations in a private practice setting; across multiple locations in South West Sydney.

The position with start at 1-2 days per week with potential to increase if desired.

Days and hours are flexible and the position provides the ability to increase own income (pay based on a per-patient basis).

Significant training and mentoring in working in a private practice setting may be provided.

The position will suit a motivated dietitian with a focus on providing clients with realistic goals and practical advice. The successful applicants will be friendly and motivational, with strong rapport-building skills.

The successful applicant will:

  • Attend and contribute to bimonthly meetings
  • Undertake marketing activities in order to increase patient referrals
  • Be involved in ongoing CPD activities
  • Be available for training (1 meeting per week) in July/August 2023 and to commence role in September 2023
The successful applicant will be engaged as a sub-contractor, and will therefore be required to:

  • Obtain own ABN
  • Obtain own Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Obtain DAA membership and Provisional APD status
  • Obtain own Medicare Provider Numbers
(Detailed guidance regarding the above will be provided during initial training)

Essential Criteria

  • Full Dietitian's Australia Membership status and liability insurance
  • Current driver's license
  • High level of interpersonal skills with clientfocused approach to consultations
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • High standard of report writing
  • Excellent resource development skills

Desired Criteria

  • Previous private practice experience
  • Experience in Medical Software i.e. Best Practice / Medical Director / Halaxy
