As Chief Information Officer, you'll be a strategic visionary, driving digital excellence across the department.You will provide leadership, direction and manage the information and communication technology, information management, cyber security and digital capabilities for the department.
You will also be at the forefront of developing strategic partnerships that positively impact ICT capability and innovation in your team and the broader Queensland (QLD) public sector.

At DPC we support the Premier and Cabinet to effectively deliver on government's priorities, and objectives for the benefit QLD communities.
Your key interpersonal skills and strategic partnerships will see you representing DPC in forums across the QLD Government.Using your influence and expertise you will drive digital excellence through innovation and digital capability across the department.
As the Chief Information Officer, reporting to the Deputy Director-General, People and Services, you will have responsibility for: Leading the development, implementation and advancement of the department's ICT strategic plan, and roadmap Providing complex strategic advice to executive management including the Executive Leadership Team, Deputy Director-General, Associate Director-General and Director-General on key information technology and security matters, initiatives and projects Managing emerging issues by actively engaging with key stakeholders to provide strategic, considered, evidence-based strategies and solutions Driving the strategic direction embracing innovative solutions and overseeing the design and development of key ICT programs that fulfill the needs of the business and demonstrate effective investment Leading multidisciplinary teams through the building of internal capability and continuous improvement to deliver innovative reform programs and solutions to achieve key business objectives Embedding strong fiscal management practices for the ICT budget and implementing effective governance arrangements to manage contracts and thirdparty vendors Developing strategic partnerships and collaboration across government with a focus on cyber security, ICT capability and innovation, service delivery and fiscal management.
