The Opportunity:


We are currently seeking a Fabrication Apprentice to join
Rapid Perforating who are a proudly Australian owned and operated company specialising in perforated metal, treadplate, handrails, gantries, and expanded metal products.

The role will be based in their workshop in
Ingleburn, 40 kilometres south-west of Sydney CBD.

Job Details:

Working under the direction of your supervisor, duties will include:

  • Learning all the intricacies of cutting, grinding, welding, and bending steel in an engineering workshop
  • Light fabrication work
  • Perforated sheeting and steel fabrication work using a wide range of metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, and colour bond sheeting
  • Using a range of machinery as well as hand and power tools
  • Interpreting drawings
  • General workshop duties
Undertaking this
four-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Fabricator and earn your
MEM30322 Certificate III in Engineering
Fabrication Trade.

Opportunity to access Government subsidy payments of up to a total of $5000 for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship paid in 6 monthly instalments

  • Have the desire to learn and a positive attitude
  • Mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills essential
  • Relative work experience or in a school environment a plus
  • Good safety awareness
  • Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
