Manager - Workforce Strategy & Planning

As the Manager you will:
- Provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of team and unit priorities ensuring that the outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of, the department's workforce planning agenda.
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the accountabilities of the unit.
The Manager reports to the Director, Workforce Strategy and Planning, Engagement and Talent Acquisition, People Branch, People, Information and Communication Services Division.
As the Manager you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead and manage the research, design, analysis and consultation on Strategic Workforce Planning activities.
- Provide high level business analysis.
- Lead and manage deliverables including resources, technologies, systems and processes, to maximise the efficiency, effectiveness and delivery of business activities and outcomes.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of necessary systems, processes, resources and tools to achieve effective human resource workforce planning initiatives and strategies.
- Establish and lead effective consultation processes related to workforce planning, business planning, governance and reporting issues for dissemination of information and results driving performance improvements.
- Lead and coordinate the provision of strategic and operational advice and briefings for senior management across the department to facilitate identification of key workforce planning issues and to engage support for the implementation of key initiatives.
- Provide ongoing evaluation of the activities and work practices within the functional area of the position to ensure alignment with changing corporate goals.
- Establish and cultivate effective relationships and networks with key stakeholders and clients.
